Local Councilor from Alba Iulia, hit by a scooter in Cetate. He went off with a bruised and sore ankle

The local councilor Paul Victor Florea was two days ago the “victim” of a scooter driven by a tourist in Cetatea Alba Carolina. Fortunately, he came away with only a bruise and a sore ankle.

Paul Florea draws attention in a post on the Facebook social network that in his place could very well be a child or an elderly person. He mentions that he has contacted the Local Police and intends to organize an awareness campaign about the danger posed by scooters being driven in areas intended for pedestrians, especially if there are tracks intended for them.

“I was hit by a scooter in the city. This time it was me, next time it can be a child!!!

The electric scooter driven by a tourist came from behind, speeding through the pedestrians. I went with a bruised and sore ankle, got off easy.

It is absolutely necessary to protect our city from such dangers. I spoke with the local police chief to organize an awareness campaign about this danger.

I think it is very important to put up no scooter access signs where there is an alternative access for them, and the movement among pedestrians would mean a real danger.

I know that most of you use these means of transport carefully and responsibly, but for those who don’t, the rule needs to be strengthened.

I want a safe city, especially for children and seniors! Let’s start with Cetatea!”, wrote Paul Florea on Facebook.
