Delinquent drunk and without a license, detained after an accident in which he injured two women

The policemen of the Timișoara Road Bureau arrested the young man after he caused an accident with two victims on Ardealului street in Timișoara and left the scene of the accident. The man is guilty of a number of crimes.

The authorities were notified by calling 112 on Saturday, around 7:40 p.m., regarding the fact that a traffic accident occurred on Ardealului street in Timișoara resulting in the injury of two people, the driver responsible for the accident leaving the scene without the consent of the police or of the prosecutor.

“The police immediately went to the scene finding out that a man was driving a car on Ardealului street in the municipality of Timișoara, and at one point he collided head-on with a car, driven by an elderly woman of 31 years, after the impact the driver guilty of causing the accident left the scene.

At the same time, the impact resulted in the injury of two women, namely the 31-year-old woman and a passenger of the same age in the car driven by her. Following the investigations carried out, shortly after, the police officers of the Road Bureau identified and located the driver, namely a 26-year-old man, who was taken to the police headquarters for questioning.

Following the checks carried out in the databases, it turned out that the young man appears to have a canceled driver’s license. At the same time, after testing with the breathalyzer, it was found that he was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, namely 0.84 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. Also, following the testing with the equipment of the young man, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances”, announced IPJ Timiş.

The suspect was detained for 24 hours, under the aspect of committing the crimes of culpable bodily harm, driving a motor vehicle on public roads with a canceled driver’s license, driving a motor vehicle on public roads under the influence of alcoholic beverages, driving a motor vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances and leaving the scene of the accident without the consent of the police or the prosecutor, this being placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Caraș – Severin County Police Inspectorate, the authorities also sent.
