Between May 17 and June 9, dozens of outdoor attractions and 60 performances will take place at the eighth edition of the Children’s Opera Festival.
The Children’s Opera Festival is one of the flagship projects of the Comic Opera for Children, organized since 2015, around June 1, World Children’s Day.
The official opening of the event will take place on May 17, starting at 4:00 p.m.
The festival will be open to the public every Friday, between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., until June 9 inclusive.
Among the must-see attractions are the Butterfly Garden, the Adventure Park, the Bird House, the Water Balloon Target, the Carousel and the Train.
Also, children aged between 0-3 years have a space dedicated exclusively to them: the City of Babies and the Sensory House, outdoor events, held at the Tree House, such as the mini-concerts with the characters from the ‘Bubu’ shows .
Moviegoers will be able to enjoy outdoor movies every Saturday of the festival after sunset. Access is free.
In addition to the activities and attractions set up outdoors and in unconventional spaces, the festival includes 60 performances, scheduled in the Great Hall, the Mozart Hall and the UnderGrant Hall.
During the Children’s Opera Festival, the Mozart Salon hosts the magic show ‘Magical Story’ and the symphonic fairy tale ‘Petrić and the Wolf’, by Sergei Prokofiev.
Access to the festival is free, and participation in certain activities is done with tickets available at the local OCC Store. The cost of a ticket is 3 lei.
