Last night, around 00:40, the policemen of the Road Bureau of the Bistrita Municipality Police stopped a driver who did not give priority to the traffic control vehicle in a roundabout. Here’s what happened.

A 33-year-old young man from Sărata, while driving a car in the radius of the Bistrita municipality, having reached a roundabout, did not give priority to a special vehicle of the Road Bureau that was carrying out traffic monitoring and control activities.

He was stopped by the crew, and after testing with the devices provided, the breathalyzer result was 1.17 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

Later, the driver was taken to the hospital, where biological samples were taken, in order to determine the blood alcohol level, and the police officers of the Road Bureau continue the investigations within the criminal file prepared.

At the same time, the man in question was penalized for contravention, according to the provisions of GEO 195/2002, with a fine of 1,320 lei, informs the Bistrita-Năsăud County Police Inspectorate.
