Paul Kuttesch is the candidate proposed by the Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania for the position of president of the Sibiu County Council. His candidacy was announced on Thursday, during a press conference organized at the FDGR headquarters.

Wolfgang-Alexander Guib, who will run for a new term in the Sibiu City Council, introduced the FDGR candidate to head the County Council. According to him, Paul Kuttesch, who is currently a local councillor, is a determined man who responded positively to this new challenge. “Paul Kuttesch was born in the city of Sibiu and is a dedicated father of two children. He is an export manager at one of the largest tool manufacturing companies in Europe. In 2020, he became a local councilor of the municipality of Sibiu from the FDGR and is a member of the Commerce and Public Services Commission. In addition to his professional and political work, Paul Kuttesch is a lover of nature, understands the importance of protecting the environment and is dedicated to improving the quality of life. He is a determined man who did not hesitate when he responded to the challenge to run for the presidency of the Sibiu County Council”, described Wolfgang-Alexander Guib.

Paul Kuttesch wants to transform the county into a model to follow, not only on a national level, but also on a European level. “Today I want to share with you some key words from our vision for the development of Sibiu county. Our main objectives include refining the infrastructure and improving mobility in Sibiu County. Better access to public health services, capitalizing on cultural heritage, attracting visitors from around the world and stimulating the local economy. Last but not least, strengthening the agricultural sector to promote local products and providing support to our farmers. These can only be achieved through close collaboration between the Sibiu municipality and the county administration. I firmly believe that together we can overcome any challenge and transform Sibiu county into a model to follow, both nationally and European”, said the FDGR candidate for the position of president of the County Council.
