Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI will have larger photo modules; Here are pictures

--

We’ve had a lot of leaks so far about the Sony Xperia 1 VI, and we’ve learned that it’s finally ditching that narrow 21:9 screen aspect. Now we see how both the photo module from Xperia 1 VIas well as the one from Xperia 10 VIby means of an escape.

The escape comes from protections of the type “tempered glass” for the two phones, which appeared in the Japanese store Rakuten Market. We know that Sony has already confirmed an event for May 17, when it will present the new Xperias, so we are not surprised by such leaks. Both guards are physically larger than their predecessors and have wider openings. Sources say we’re also getting bigger photo sensors.

The lens protection for the Sony Xperia 1 VI measures 1.5 x 5.2 cm compared to the 1.3 x 4.9 cm of the Xperia V. On the Xperia 10 VI we have a size of 1.6 x 3.3 cm, larger than the predecessor. Obviously, if we temper our expectations, we can think that they are only aesthetic changes, not the lenses themselves.

Another recent rumor claimed that Sony is ditching the 4K display on its flagship and that the Xperia 1 VI will use the same photo sensors as its predecessor, with a 24mm 48-megapixel main sensor with an F/1.9 aperture and a size of 1/ 1.35 inch, plus a 12 MP ultrawide camera with a focal length of 16 mm. This camera has F/2.2 aperture and 1/2.5 inch sensor.

There is also a telephoto camera with focal length between 85 and 125 mm and 12 MP resolution, 1/3.5 inch sensor and continuous zoom. Sony will also bring software improvements at the camera level. We also expect a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor on board and up to 16 GB of RAM.
