The PSD Olt president, Marius Oprescu (pictured), declared on Thursday, March 28, that the problem of a common candidate in Olt county has never been raised.

The statement comes in the context where in many localities in the country, PSD and PNL, in government within a Coalition, have common candidates.

Oprescu specified that he did not support this for any locality in the county, and this aspect was not discussed at the central level.

“The issue of a common candidate in Olt County was not raised, I did not support this,” said Oprescu.

The social-democratic leader specified that the candidates have been established in almost every locality, and their validation will be done in a political council.

“At the moment, we have almost finalized the candidates in all localities. Probably, in the next period, we will have a county political council in which we will validate all the candidates we have, and then we will later announce through a press release who our candidates are in each locality”, added Oprescu.
