Maia Sandu: Let’s celebrate the union of Bessarabia with Romania by giving thanks for Romania’s constant support for the Republic of Moldova

The best way to celebrate 106 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania is to highlight the ties between the people on the two banks of the Prut. The statement was made by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

In the message on the occasion of the Day of Union of Bessarabia with Romania, the head of state mentioned that Romania helps the Republic of Moldova continuously and unconditionally.

“This is only part of the huge support provided by Romania over the years. The best way to celebrate 106 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania is to highlight the ties between the people on the two banks of the Prut,” said Maia Sandu, quoted by the Deschide.md portal.

At the same time, the president thanked Romania for its constant support dedicated to improving the lives of all citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

“Let’s keep working to become a developed and free state, alongside Romania, in the great European family”, she concluded.
