Insureds who lost their national health card, or it was stolen or damaged, no longer have to go to the Health Insurance House every two months for the extension of the health card replacement certificate. Through an Order of the President of the CNAS, published in the Official Gazette, the validity of the certificate was extended until the date on which the insured comes into possession of the duplicate card, either through the postal services, or collects it from CAS Hunedoara headquarters. Certificates issued up to this date are valid for 60 days.
“Until now, insured persons who requested CAS Hunedoara to issue a duplicate health card received a replacement certificate valid for 60 days, with the possibility of extension. Which means that, every two months, they had to travel to Deva or Petroșani to obtain the new document. In order to support them, the CNAS decided to extend the certificate until the new card is obtained. It is very important to remember that the certificates issued up to this date retain their validity period provided in them”, said Adrian Nicolae David, general director of CAS Hunedoara.
In case of loss, damage, theft, the insured submits to the health insurance company where the documents necessary for the issuance of the duplicate card are taken into account, respectively the standard application (can be downloaded from the web page http://cas.cnas.ro/cjashd /page/card-national.html), copy of the identity document and proof of payment for the services of printing and distributing the duplicate card. The documents can also be sent via postal services or by e-mail to the address [email protected].
Around 300 applications for the issuance of the duplicate national health insurance card are submitted to CAS Hunedoara every month.
