A woman needed first aid and was later transported to the Emergency Department of the Slatina County Emergency Hospital to undergo thorough medical investigations after the car she was in overturned on Sunday evening a field on the edge of the County Road (DJ) 546, in the Brebeni commune area.
She was a passenger in the car whose driver, according to some sources, would have been speeding and would have lost control of the direction of travel, overturning outside the roadway.
Crews of the traffic police from Slatina went to the scene to carry out investigations and establish the circumstances in which the traffic accident occurred.
After testing the driver with the alcohol test device, the result was negative, and in the case a criminal case was drawn up for culpable bodily injury.
“On March 24, around 7:00 p.m., the Olt County Police Inspectorate was alerted, through the emergency call 112, regarding the fact that, on County Road 546, in the commune of Brebeni, a road incident took place . The police officers from the Slatina Road Bureau went to the scene. From the first checks, the police established the fact that a 68-year-old man from the city of Dragănești-Olt, while driving a car on County Road 546, for reasons to be determined during the investigation, overturned in outside the carriageway. Following the road accident, a 60-year-old woman from the municipality of Caracal, a passenger in a car, required medical attention and was transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital. The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result was negative. The police are conducting investigations to establish exactly all the circumstances in which the event took place”, said lead agent Claudiu Șerban, spokesperson of the IPJ.
