The Politehnica University of Timișoara officially launches this year’s edition of the Tech Talks by UPT event. The event takes place under the banner “AI for Humanity” on May 17 at the Timiș Cinema, Radio Timișoara reports, quoted by Rador.

The conference aims to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on society and how the technology can be used to improve people’s lives.

The main guest will be Garry Kasparov, a legendary name in the world of chess, known for his battles with AI systems such as IBM’s Deep Blue.

Kasparov will analyze the impact of advances in AI on human life and fundamental freedoms and will emphasize the importance of an ethical framework in its development and use.

The list of speakers is completed by Andras Ferenczi, an expert in artificial intelligence with extensive experience in banking. He will discuss the impact of AI on the banking sector and how the technology can be used to improve customer service and experience.

Google technology expert Andreas Ekstrom will bring insight into how AI is influencing software development and coding.

Elias Bareinboim, professor at Columbia University and director of the Causal Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, will highlight the importance of understanding causal relationships in the development and implementation of AI systems, with a focus on their impact on society.

George Roth, AI Technology Evangelist at UiPath, a global leader in business process automation and AI, will talk about how AI technology can be used to automate business processes and streamline operations.

Corina Apachite will discuss the advances and challenges of using AI in the automotive industry and its impact on future mobility.

Mihai Drăghici, CEO of PayByFace, a company specializing in secure AI-based biometric payment solutions, will provide an insight into how intelligence can be used to innovate in the start-up sector and support business development innovative.

Cornel Amariei, CEO and co-founder of DotLumen, a company that develops AI-based accessible technology solutions for the visually impaired, will highlight how AI can be used to bring innovative and accessible solutions to critical areas.
