The Brasov police officers reported themselves when they saw the images filmed by the aggressor. “Following the findings, the police carried out checks that led to the identification of the persons involved, namely two cohabitants, a 49-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, both from the municipality of Codlea, Braşov county. The investigations carried out by the police established that on March 15, against the background of contradictory discussions and the consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict would have arisen between the two, in which context the woman would have been assaulted by her concubine, being hit several times by him”, stated the spokesperson of the Brasov Police, principal chief agent Daniel Zontea.
On March 20, after the administration of probation, the man was detained by the police for 24 hours. The man is a recidivist, he also has a conviction for sexual abuse committed against one of his nieces. The police opened a criminal case for the crimes of “family violence” and “disturbance of peace and public order”, and the investigations are continued under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Braşov District Court.
