A serious accident occurred this evening in Căușeni district. A man died after a bus collided head-on with a car. In the bus were almost 50 employees from the National History Museum, who were returning to Chisinau from a trip. According to the police, 16 people were injured and are in the Căușeni hospital.
The accident occurred between the Grigorievca and Baccealia localities in Căușeni district. According to the police, the driver of a Nissan car overtook without securing himself and collided head-on with a bus.
“We were going by bus. A car entered the opposite direction and collided with the left side. The coach driver tried to right the vehicle but failed and it overturned.”
“As far as I understand the driver of the Nissan overtook and failed to enter the lane and hit the minibus.”
Following the impact, the coach reached the embankment and overturned. From the images filmed at the scene, it can be seen that the vehicle was damaged, the windshield being shattered. There were 46 employees of the History Museum on the bus, who were returning from a trip.
“We went to Zaim, to the Mateevici museum and we were returning, I don’t know what happened. I was in the back. It was the bus from the History Museum, there were 50 people on the trip.”
Several police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene of the accident.

-8, 4 from Causeni, Anenii Noi and one resuscitation.
– Are there serious cases?
-Yes. Reanimation took those serious.”
One by one, the ambulances picked up the injured and transported them to the Căușeni hospital.
According to the police, the driver of the Nissan died at the scene of the accident. 16 people are injured and hospitalized. Also, one patient was transferred to Chisinau. The police have initiated an investigation.
