After a massive effort on Friday, Seattle Reign are back at Lumen Field playing in front of home fans again. They are facing a tough Kansas City Current side that is undefeated and has scored the most goals in the league.
The match kicks off tonight at 7 PM PT and will air on KONG TV locally in addition to streaming for free on the KING 5+ app and NWSL+.
The Reign come into the match after a come-from-behind 2-1 win against the San Diego Wave last Friday, where they played roughly 100 minutes down a player. The Current played to a 1-1 road draw with the Houston Dash on Sunday, which included a four-hour weather delay at halftime.
The Reign are more rested, but they also have to travel to face another red-hot team, the Portland Thorns, on the road on Saturday. Can they find some momentum after a slow start to the season?
What to Watch
- Limit KC’s ability to transition
- Take advantage of set pieces (KC has given up 5 of 12 goals from set plays)
- Score early to set the tone (and don’t let KC get momentum!)
