Born in Italy, in a mixed Romanian-Italian family, the 11-year-old girl conquered the jury and the audience with the interpretation of a very difficult piece.

With great emotions, Sofia Corona, a half-Romanian girl, born in Italy, stepped on the stage of “Romanians have talent”. As he admitted, he has participated in competitions before, but none of this magnitude. Why “Romanians have talent” and not the Italian version of the show? Because her mother is from Romania and wanted her to sing at home.

“My mother always wanted me to speak Romanian. I came to “Romanians have talent” because this is my mother’s country, because I love Romania very much, because my grandparents also wanted me to come here”the little girl confessed.

In fact, her grandfather from Romania, a priest and tenor, was the one who guided her to join a choir in Italy and cultivate her passion for singing. Sofia sang a very difficult song, “The Prayer” (Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion), and her exceptional performance captivated the audience.

“Sofia is 11 years old. I’m always amazed when I see a kid singing such heavy songs. God, your moment was very beautiful. I am glad that you came and that I heard such a sweet voice. You’re just getting started, but it sounds so good.” Andra told him.
