The British billionaire Richard Branson, aged 73, presents his school evaluation from 65 years ago, from which it follows that he had a poor memory, had a substandard activity in French, and in English he was very “remained in following”, especially in spelling and reading, the conclusion of the report being that he does not consider teaching pleasant at all. “Going to school with undiagnosed dyslexia was no fun at all, but I’m glad I didn’t let it crush my great ideas. I hope this will inspire anyone who might be struggling in school right now,” Branson writes on Instagram, reports Mediafax.
“I came across these school reports from the Easter vacation, 65 years ago. It felt very fitting to find out that I was ‘very behind’ in spelling and reading – as I prepare to launch my audiobook next week!” Branson begins his post.
For those who cannot read the handwriting, he presents some important points of his assessment as a student:
Handicapped by a poor memory
Classical Studies: “Very keen, but handicapped by a poor memory. Some progress.”
Maths: “During the first half of the term he saw a marked improvement in his work, but once he began to move on to really new elements his interest waned and his standard dropped.”
French: “A slight improvement this quarter, but his work is still substandard.”
English: “He is still very behind in this subject, especially in spelling and reading – he needs constant practice in the latter.”
Drawing: “If he took a little care, he could be good.”

The conclusion of the report is that Richard Branson does not find learning enjoyable at all, but his willingness to cooperate is a real help in the accumulation of basic knowledge.
