Investors present on the Bucharest Stock Exchange reached, at the end of March, a total of 191,743, an increase of 7% or 13,182 compared to the end of last year. Compared to March 2023, the number increased by 35% or 50,173, according to the latest data from the Investors’ Compensation Fund.
The number of fully compensable investors was, on March 31, 2024, 132,493, up by 7.3% compared to the data of December 31, 2023. Fully compensable investors were 58,057, plus 7.65%, and non-compensable investors 1,193, minus 0 .8%. “The classification of investors is dominated by the number of fully compensable investors, which represents 69.1% of the total number reported on March 31, 2024. Of these, 74.92% turn to financial investment service companies,” FCI representatives write.
The average portfolio of a fully compensable investor reached 4,112 euros after registering a decrease of 2.56%, compared to Q4/2023. At the same time, the average portfolio of a compensable investor within the limit of the ceiling at the end of Q1 registered an increase of 0.92%, reaching 190,906 euros.
