In recent years, the city of Constanța has become one of the main poles of attraction for event organizers, but also for festival enthusiasts from the whole country. However, organizing a successful festival is not possible without the support of a well-trained team and the involvement of volunteers, who play a much more important role than I think.

Volunteering at big festivals has become more and more popular, precisely because of the unique experiences that young people get to live at such an event. In addition, volunteering at festivals becomes a great way to build social relationships and meet new people.

Organizers of the Neversea festival recently announced that they are looking for over 1,000 volunteers to join them on their sixth trip to the Black Sea.

This experience provides a unique insight into the work behind an event of Neversea’s magnitude and provides the opportunity to learn and collaborate with professionals from the music and events industry.

With the arrival of summer, young people have the opportunity to turn their vacation into an unforgettable one. Every volunteering experience is unique, but for the young people who chose to volunteer at an electronic music festival, it was more than just special, it was a journey of discovery, connection and personal fulfillment.

From helping with logistics, to assisting the public and supporting the artistic and technical teams, each volunteer brings with them a unique burst of energy and enthusiasm.

If we think about the advantages that young people can have by volunteering at an electronic music festival, they are numerous. The young people will be trained a few days before the start of the festival in relation to the activities they will do, they will have free access to enter the festival, they will receive water and food, but also an amount of money that they can spend during the event and, last but not least, they will have the opportunity to meet public figures either from the music field or from social media.

Miruna A., 16 years old, was selected as a volunteer for the seaside festival, Neversea, in the credentials department. She says she is excited and eager for everything she is about to experience.

“I’ve been thinking about taking this step for a long time and now I’m very excited. My friends have volunteered at several festivals before and recommended that I give it a try. I’m quite a shy person, but I think all emotions will disappear the moment I step on the sand. I can’t wait to see what the volunteer experience is like. My parents agreed for me to enroll,” she said.

Ionuț O., now a student, also tells about the experience he had as a volunteer at the Neversea festival.

“It was something new. I worked, but I also had fun. I met a lot of stars, took pictures, went to my favorite artists and managed to develop a lot. I did not expect the experience to be so beautiful at all. I was 18 years old when I volunteered for the first time and I recommend all young people to sign up as volunteers, they will only get benefits”, he declares.

Ștefania R., a student in Bucharest, tells about her experiences as a volunteer at several music festivals.

“It’s an electrifying energy, you don’t even feel like you’re working. The organizers take care of every volunteer, we got water, food and even money to have something to spend when we go to have fun at the festival. You develop enormously, meet a lot of people and learn how to manage on your own. I recommend all young people to try volunteering at events like this, they won’t regret it,” she says.

Those who want to live such an experience and be part of, for example, the volunteer team of the Neversea festival must be between 16 and 35 years old, and the recruitment period takes place until May 15.

The experience of volunteering at major festivals is not just about the benefits or the work, it is about the experience, the connections we can make and the joy of being part of such a project.
