National premiere in Snagov, north of Bucharest. Authorities have installed the first smart speed limiter that scans the speed of cars and only lifts if drivers are exceeding the speed limit when they pass it.

The device is mounted in the center of Ghermănești in Snagov commune, on a street where there is a school and where the speed limit is 30 km/h.

The device is equipped with sensors to scan the speed at which drivers are traveling and to allow only those who do not exceed the speed limit to pass. This device is a prototype and is in testing.

The speed limiter was installed next to a school in Ghermănești, right in the center of the town, where the prescribed speed limit is 30 km/h. If drivers passing on the street drive at the legal speed, the limiter lowers to the asphalt. If not, the limiter will rise. In front of this device in both directions, signs will be installed to inform drivers of the existence of this sensor device.

The limiter was installed for the first time in Mexico, and technicians from the North American state came to install and ensure that the system in Snagov works. If the prototype will perform properly, the company wants to expand to more cities in Romania
