The iPhone SE 4 has leaked an impressive number of times so far, and each time it looked like it was going to change its design. There was talk about a recycling of the iPhone XR, but also about a similarity with the iPhone 14 or even 14. A model clarifies our doubts today.
series it usually recycles designs from older iPhones, since the original takes inspiration from the iPhone 5s, and the SE (2020) and (2022) have grown in size, reaching the style of iPhone 6-8 bodies. Now it’s taking another step in a new direction, and after seeing renders of the iPhone SE 4 in the style of the iPhone 14, we’re now seeing images of a metal mockup that confirms that design.
The screen will be a OLED for the first time in the SE series, and the panels will be supplied by BOE. There will be no more differences between what we get on the iPhone 14 and apparently the classic wide bangs, with Face ID sensor, are already preserved. SE 4 will also bring the battery from iPhone 14. As can be seen from the model used for the production of covers, iPhone SE 4 will look a bit more… contemporary.
The iPhone SE (2022) was the last phone with Touch ID on board and even iPads switched to Face ID. This is because they have more space in the frame to hide IR sensors and the camera and there is no need for bangs. We don’t know how we will sit with the camera, and the iPhone 14 won’t lend the SE’s camera either.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 will bring a special Capture button, which will be on the side, close to the Power button.
