Since a few days ago we informed you that several Samsung devices are going to receive the update to One UI 6.1 on March 28. Well, the day has arrived, and users of Samsung phones / tablets started receiving the important update early in the morning. It brings Galaxy AI to the fore, a suite of features and options that use artificial intelligence for a more enjoyable user experience.
The One UI 6.1 update is currently available on the following devices:
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 Plus
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9 Plus, Tab S9 Ultra (5G and WiFi)
- Galaxy Z Fold5
- Galaxy Z Flip5
Galaxy AI brings interesting AI features like Circle to Search, Live Translate, Interpreter and Generative Edit. Phones running One UI 6.1 get these new options for free, so users can overcome language barriers by having real-time translated conversations. The Live Translate feature, with support for 13 languages, even offers real-time translation of a call.
The Circle to Search option presented by Samsung with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series is also important. Basically you can draw a circle around an element on the screen to find out details about it. For example, if you see an outfit you like in a TikTok, you quickly look for it on the web using the search engine.
Generative Edit also appears, a function that allows you to easily edit your photos with the help of artificial intelligence. You can even remove unwanted elements in the frame or add a completely different background.
