The penultimate stage of the Superliga recorded an important aspect regarding the final position that Oțelul can occupy, at the end of the play-out phase. Thus, the group from Galața can no longer finish the season higher than 8th place – a position occupied before the last stage that will take place this weekend.
Here are the complete results from the penultimate stage of the play-out: FC Botoșani – FC Voluntari 0-0, “U” Cluj – Dinamo 3-3, Petrolul – OțELUL 2-1, FC Hermannstadt – Poli Iași 0-1, UTA – FCU 1948 Craiova 3-1.
Ranking: 7. UTA 37 points, 8. OțELUL 33 points, 9. FC Hermannstadt 31 points, 10. “U” Cluj 30 points, 11. Petrolul 29 points, 12. FC Botoșani 25 points, 13. FC Voluntari 24 points, 14. Poli Iasi 24 points, 15. Dinamo 22 points, 16. FCU 1948 Craiova 22 points.
The last play-out stage will be played in its entirety on Sunday, May 12, from 21:30: OțELUL – FC Botoșani, Poli Iași – Petrolul, FCU 1948 Craiova – FC Hermannstadt, Dinamo – UTA, FC Voluntari – “U” Cluj .
Oțelul is sure of its presence in the Conference League play-offs, in case it fails to win the “Cup Romania Cup” final on May 15, regardless of the result obtained in the last stage.
The last two teams will be relegated directly, and the 13th and 14th places will play off with two of the teams in the play-off phase of League II.
