In the last days, the Bacau firefighters intervened in 177 requests

Between April 30 and May 7 this year, the Bacău firefighters responded to a number of 177 applications received on the Single National System for Emergency Calls 112. Most interventions consisted in granting emergency medical aidrespectively 104 such cases. Also, during the mentioned period, the rescuers intervened for the liquidation of 12 arson, in the 12missions for assistance to people, in the two missions foranimal rescue and they have MANAGEMENT other 47 interventions in support of communities.

Among the most extensive missions carried out in the mentioned interval is the fire in the town of Agăș, on May 4th. The call announcing the event was received in the ISU-SAJ dispatch center at around 4:30 p.m., with emergency personnel assigned to the scene forces from the three fire departments in the county, respectively Bacău, Onești and Moinești.

When the intervention forces arrived, the fire manifested itself with flames on an area of ​​approximately three hectares, at the level of dry vegetation, stumps and fells from a mixed forest belonging to the forest fund managed by the Comănești Forestry.

Considering the manner in which the fire appeared, i.e. burning underground, as well as the difficult-to-access terrain, taking place at altitudes of over 1250 m, the extinguishing action was a long one, the fire being extinguished after three days, i.e. Monday, 06 more needle

During the three days of the intervention, the extinguishing action was led in the field by the command of the inspectorate, respectively by the chief inspector, colonel Ovidiu Cărășel, by the first deputy chief inspector, colonel Galita Cătălin and by the deputy chief inspector, Lt. Col. Socaci George.

From the time of the fire until the time of its liquidation, a total of 65 firefighters acted at the indicated place, as well as volunteers from SVSU Agăș and workers from the Comănești Forestry and from the logging company that carried out specific activities in the area.

To extinguish the fire, first aid was used, with special fire trucks, TAFs, tractors and off-road vehicles.

From the investigation carried out on the spot, the probable cause of the fire is the use of open fire in open spaces.

During this mini-holiday, our institution’s attention was not only directed to the operative part, but also to the preventive part, with priority being given to reducing irregularities in the line of fire protection and informing the population about the adoption of preventive behavior.

Thus, during the mentioned period, but also before the mini-holiday, the prevention inspectors carried out controls and verifications in the field, in the areas where a large influx of people was expected, respectively at the cult units and tourist units in the county.

During the controls, 11 warnings were issued, as a result of finding deficiencies such as operating the electrical installation with faults and continuing to operate without a fire safety permit.
