(VIDEO) Seven young people recovered by mountain rescuers from the Iezer refuge area. They were not properly equipped

--

The rescuers from Arges from the Voina Salvamont Base intervene, at these moments, for the recovery of seven tourists from the Iezer refuge area.

Two tourists are in mild hypothermia, while a man has a sprained ankle.

There was hail in the area, and the members of the group, not having a change of clothes, decided to call 112 and request help.

According to Salvamont Argeș, the seven tourists, five 19-year-olds, one 16-year-old and one 21-year-old, all from Târgoviște, intended to stay overnight in the Iezer refuge, but were not properly equipped for the mountain.

We draw attention to the fact that the situations in which tourists climb the mountain completely unprepared physically, technically and above all unequipped have increased!

If you intend to climb the mountain trails (still closed at high altitudes due to snow!) you can contact us 24/7 at the Salvamont National Dispatch for information by dialing 0salvamont on your mobile phone keyboard.”, Salvamont Argeș transmits

New information

The seven young people from Târgoviște, inexperienced and without proper equipment, were recovered by mountain rescuers.

The young men were wearing sneakers and were dressed in clothes that would not have been thick enough to withstand the overnight cold.

Due to the unfavorable weather conditions and the darkness, the rescue operation lasted around seven hours. The young people arrived safely at the Voina cabin.
