EURONEWS (Italy) May 2, 2024- Vama Veche and Costinești are among the favorite destinations of young Romanians, who decided to spend the long weekend of May 1 at the seaside, thus opening the summer season.
Tens of thousands of Romanians took advantage of the long weekend of May 1 to celebrate the official start of the summer season. Hoteliers estimated that around 50 thousand tourists spent their holidays in hotel facilities on the Romanian coast.
Favorite destinations of Romanians
Costinești and Vama Veche were also this year among the favorite destinations of young people looking for the sun and the sea. Vama Veche, famous for its alternative spirit and natural beaches, attracts music and independent culture lovers.
Among the most lively seaside destinations, both in terms of sea and nightlife, is Mamaia, a popular resort on the Black Sea coast. To relax before summer, you can choose Eforie Sud and Eforie Nord instead, the former being known for its thermal waters and the latter for its quiet beaches.
