Border police officers from the Galați Rutier Border Crossing Point are investigating a man with Chinese citizenship, who presented a driver’s license not recognized by the Romanian state at the border control.
On May 4, around 4:00 p.m., at the Galați Rutier Border Crossing Point, ITPF Iași, a 35-year-old Chinese citizen presented himself to perform the control formalities necessary for crossing the border, in the direction of entry. behind the wheel of a car registered in Romania. The man presented to the control a driver’s license issued by the Chinese authorities, with his data and photo printed on it, a document that is not recognized by the Romanian state.
“The police officers carried out specific checks, after which it was concluded that the man does not have an international driver’s license. The border police officers are investigating the case under the aspect of committing the crime of driving a motor vehicle on public roads by a person who does not have the right to drive, upon completion the legal measures that will be imposed will be taken”, explained Commissioner Ene Sorin , the spokesperson of the Territorial Structure of the Galati Border Police.
