On Friday, May 10, a special concert called the Sound of Pannonia will take place in Timișoara, a recital of authentic Serbian music, full of emotion and rhythm, which has become a tradition around the Easter holidays.

The members of the Zlatna Suza tambourine orchestra from Diniaș, Banat, aim to popularize and keep alive the musical heritage of the region and pass it on unaltered to the next generations, bringing the community together.

Moreover, three generations of tambura musicians will be present on stage, together with the Zlatna Suza Orchestra: the “Milan Luchin – Cenăzeanul” Children’s Orchestra, the Timisoara Tambura Youth Orchestra, both fully supported by the Romanian Serbian Union, as well as the Great Orchestra of Drummers of Timisoara.

“You are invited to discover not only an instrument with deep cultural significance for the Serbian people – the tambura or tambourine – but also an exciting range of musical pieces orchestrated for tambourine orchestra, from folk dance tunes and Serbian folk songs to classical and modern music compositions, under the guidance of artistic director Zoran Bugarski – Brița and with the assistance of Marko Kolovici. The approach is successfully completed by the invited vocal soloists, among whom stand out Iasmina Feniaț and Zoran Bugarski – Brița, established performers of the genre in Romania and Serbia”, say the organizers.

The event will take place on Friday, May 10, from 7 p.m., at Cinema Timiș.
