The rescue crews were requested to intervene in an apartment in the municipality. A young woman made a macabre discovery in the middle of the night.
The alert was given shortly after midnight. A young woman called the 112 service from the municipality of Botoşani and asked for the help of the rescuers. Concerned that her uncle, a 69-year-old man, had not answered the phone for several days, the young woman decided to personally go to his door.
The man lived alone, in an apartment in the Bucovina neighborhood. The young woman managed to enter the apartment, but she had a gruesome discovery. Her uncle was lying in the bathtub, floating on the surface of the water, and the body already showed signs of putrefaction.
The young woman called for help via 112, and a team with a doctor from the County Ambulance Service (SJA) was sent to the scene. The medical staff could only confirm the death. “Unfortunately, nothing could be done. The death had occurred a few days before it was found, there were already signs of putrefaction”stated a medical staff of the SJA.
Later, the police were also notified, and forensic doctors arrived at the scene, and picked up the body. “In this case, a case was opened for manslaughter. An autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.”stated deputy chief agent Delia Nenişcu, spokesperson of IPJ Botoşani.
