The works for the bypass variant (VO) investment objective of the municipality of Arad started last fall, the contractor of the work being PORR Construct, and at this moment more than 40% of the work is completed.
CNAIR SA, through DRDP Timişoara, is the supervisor of this investment launched by the Arad County Council, in partnership with the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company.
The stage of the work is over 40%. There is sustained work with around 175 workers, including TESA staff.
On the side of the road, earthworks, fillings at the ramp of the bridge over Mureș, form layer, ballast foundation are being executed.
At the bridge over Mureș, work is being done on both the bridge infrastructure and the superstructure, installing beams, pallets, and concrete slab. In parallel, the utilities relocation works are being carried out.
At the passage over the CF, the infrastructure has been completed, the superstructure of the passage being executed (beams, pallets, concrete slab).
The deadline for the completion of the contract is January 2025. Technical data about VO Arad Est:
11 km long, 1 bridge over the Mureș River, 1 railway crossing, 5 roundabouts, 2 cross intersections, 1 7.2 km cycle path, 2 stations for public transport.
