More than 25,000 signatures of support were collected for the list of candidates for the Bihor County Council, while almost 3,000 signatures were collected for the Oradea Local Council. Moreover, in Bihor county, UDMR will have candidates for 31 positions of mayors and for 50 local councils, in this year’s local elections.

The candidate for the position of president of the Bihor County Council is Cseke Attila. “We have this slogan, “Together we are Bihor”, and what we aim to do is to transform this county into a model in Romania. That is, to have implemented projects and innovations that make Bihor a benchmark for the other counties of the country. I am a man who, when I had the opportunity and the leverage, made big changes in very difficult systems”, declared Cseke at the press conference after submitting the candidacy files. Deputy Biró Rozália is running for the position of mayor of Oradea from the UDMR.

“A city has a future only when the inhabitants feel good and live well”, emphasized Biró.

From her team, on the list of local councilors, there are: Szabó József, local councilor and cabinet director of former minister Cseke Attila, Pető Dalma and Szántó Ildikó, György-Csáki János, Papp Lilla Aliz, Dr. Bántó Norbert, Hunyadi István , Kádár Hunor, Dr. Uitz Gyöngyi, Vesselényi István, Szilágyi Ibolya, Losonczi Gyula, Somogyi Tamás and Kádár József.

The list for the county councilors is not finalized, but until Sunday, the candidates were: Csiszér Norbert, parish priest of the reformed church in Remetea, Kéry Hajnal, president of the municipal women’s organization from UDMR, Grim András, county councilor, Szijjártó Szilárd from Salonta, Chiş Gheorghe, from at Valea lui Mihai, Jakab Ferenc Mózes Olivér, from the Association of Young Scouts, Corchiş Ştefan, from the Slovak community, Wesselényi István, environmental engineer, Lakatos János from the Roma Party Pro Europe and lawyer Kádár József.
