Lidia Vadim Tudor, who joined the party led by George Simion in the autumn of last year, submitted, on Monday, her candidacy to the City Hall of Sector 5 from the AUR side, where Piedone’s son will also run.

The eldest daughter of Corneliu Vadim Tudor claimed that she wants this sector to stop being considered the “Cinderella of Bucharest”.

“I have experienced people on the team who will certainly help us make this sector a safer place for citizens, a cleaner place for citizens to live in and certainly a place where women and children can benefit from everything they need, prevention programs, permanent monitoring, to feel safe and to stop being, as we are considered now, the Cinderella of Bucharest”, said the daughter of the former PRM leader Corneliu Vadim Tudor, according to Agerpres.

Next to her was the leader of AUR, George Simion: “We want justice for Romania. Vadim is coming back”.

At the Sector 5 City Hall – now led by Cristian Popescu Piedone, candidate for the Capital City Hall – Adrian Vigheciu from PSD-PNL, Alexandru Dimitriu – United Right Alliance and Vlad Popescu – PPUSL are running.

According to the official presentation, Lidia Vadim Tudor is, since 2005, the editor-in-chief of România Mare Magazine, she graduated in Journalism at Spiru Haret University, but also at the Faculty of Psychology within the same university.

Poet, writer, journalist, Corneliu Vadim Tudor is described in the Final Report of the Presidential Commission for the Analysis of the Communist Dictatorship as one of the minstrels of the Ceaușescu family, who ruled Romania before 1990. After the Revolution, he founded the Great Romania Party and the magazine of the same name. He ran several times in the presidential elections, in 2000 he entered the second round, but lost to Ion Iliescu. Corneliu Vadim Tudor died in 2015.
