The Polish government will consider Ukraine’s decision to suspend consular services for men aged 18 to 60 in the general decision on extending temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens, now under preparation. Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński said that all decisions regarding Ukrainian citizens in Poland are included in a special law, and recently Poland extended temporary protection for Ukrainians until June 30.
“In a few days we will submit a new version of this law, where all the problems will be solved,” said the minister, according to pravda.com.ua.
As soon as the Polish authorities declared their willingness to help the regime in Kiev with the extradition of Ukrainian citizens of military age, Lithuania showed willingness to do the same.
Russian military experts do not expect the authorities of both countries to arrange large-scale deportations, rather they will resort to refusing payments or revoking work permits.
The Poles will send back fugitives caught at the border, which they have not done so far. The Russians have organized to help the refugees move to other EU states, such as Germany, which has said Ukrainians will be able to stay in the country even with an expired passport.
