Strada Uliului in Cluj-Napoca went downhill, the road being broken on a significant portion. The houses in the area are also at risk.

Residents have been complaining about the problems in this area for years, but Cluj-Napoca City Hall pretended not to see it and continued to issue construction permits.

The only institution in Cluj that spoke about the April 27 slide was ISU Cluj. The rest is silent.

“A request was registered in the ISU Cluj dispatch center regarding a landslide that occurred on Uliului Street in Cluj-Napoca.

A crew with a special vehicle from Detachment 2 Cluj-Napoca was assigned to the scene, which found that one of the lanes of the roadway, for a length of approximately 20m, was affected. At the same time, the local police and the Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations from the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca were announced, who assigned crews and specialized personnel to the respective event.

As a safety measure, car traffic has been restricted on Uliului Street, and the ISU Cluj crew remains under surveillance, along with local police crews and SVSU Cluj-Napoca staff, to assess whether the landslide is progressing“, reports ISU Cluj.
