ITM Argeș carried out 405 checks in March, applying 159 sanctions that totaled 944,000 lei – according to a press release of the institution.

Thus, in the field of labor relations, 174 controls took place, 57 sanctions were applied, 41 of which were fines in the total amount of 743,000 lei.

On this occasion, at 10 sanctioned employers, 38 people were found to be performing undeclared work (on the black), the fines applied amounting to 680,000 lei.

Other deficiencies noted: failure to observe the weekly rest period, failure to record the hours of work performed by each employee, failure to grant salary rights, failure to submit within the deadline the changes made to the General Employee Record Register, failure to hand the employee, prior to the start of the activity, a copy of the individual employment contract , non-compliance with the provisions on overtime work.

According to the cited source, 231 controls were carried out in the field of occupational health and safety, and 102 sanctions were applied, including 47 fines, the value of which was 201,000 lei.

The main deficiencies found: failure to provide medical control upon employment and periodically, failure to communicate the event, failure to provide training upon employment and periodic, failure to provide personal protective equipment, failure to systematically check and test equipment, failure to provide occupational health and safety signage.

The main areas in which deficiencies were found: construction, logging, transport, distribution of goods, trade, protection and guarding, manufacture of other products from non-metallic minerals and trade of wood and construction materials, dismantling of machines and equipment taken out of use for the recovery of materials, the manufacture of paints, varnishes, printing ink and mastics – it is also stated in the press release of ITM Argeș.
