A man from Tarcău died after a tree fell on him, in a forest holding in the locality, the Neamţ County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) informed on Friday.
“Following the checks carried out by the police, it emerged that, while a 39-year-old man was carrying out logging activities, he was allegedly injured by a tree that was felled, and as a result of the accident he remained unconscious. A crew from the Neamţ County Ambulance Service went to the scene, and found that the victim had no vital signs”, said the spokesperson of the Neamţ IPJ, inspector Ramona Ciofu.
The representatives of the Neamţ Territorial Labor Inspectorate went to the site to establish the conditions under which the logging activities were carried out.
The police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crimes of manslaughter, failure to take and non-compliance with the legal safety and health measures at work.
