During today, May 8, 2024, police officers from the Gorj Road Service were alerted by calling 112 regarding the occurrence of an accident on DN-67.
From the first checks carried out by the policemen who arrived at the scene, it emerged that a 26-year-old man from the town of Șântăreni, Gorj county, while driving a car from the direction of the town of Scoarța to Târgu Jiu, left the road , colliding with a tree.
As a result of the accident, 5 passengers from the car were injured, 3 men and 2 women, who were transported to the hospital in order to receive specialized medical care.
The driver had a valid driver’s license and was not under the influence of alcohol.
In the case, the police have drawn up a criminal investigation file under the aspect of committing the crime of culpable bodily harm.
