Ebru Bolat will represent Romania at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in yachting competitions.
It is for the third time in history that Romania will have yachting athletes at the start of the Olympic competition.
Romania will be represented at the Paris 2024 Olympics and in yachting. Ebru Bolat qualified for the last tournament that split the Olympic tickets, in Hyeres, France.
In the Ylca 6 class, Ebru finished in 1st place, ensuring his participation in the OJ. She collected 70 points in 10 races, finishing first twice, second twice and third once. In the rest of the races, he was in the top 10, according to the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee.
Ebru has two European champion titles, in the Zoom8 and Optimist classes, as well as one world vice-champion, in Zoom8.
It is for the third time in the history of participation in the Olympic Games that Romania will be represented in yachting.
In 1980, at the Moscow Olympics, Mihai Butucaru, Mircea Carp, Adrian Arendt, Andrei Chiliman and Cătălin Luchian competed for Romania. Mihai Butucaru and Horia Ispaș were present at Atlanta 1996.
