Meteorologists have issued a new code yellow meteorological warning, between May 7, 10 a.m. and May 7, 11 p.m.

Rain, storms and hail are reported in several areas of the country.

“During the mentioned interval, there will be periods of heightened atmospheric instability that will be manifested by frequent electrical discharges, torrential showers, hail, intensification of wind and storms in Moldova, Muntenia, eastern Transylvania and locally in Maramureș.

In short periods of time or through accumulation, the water quantities will be 20…25 l/m2 and isolated over 40 l/m2.

Such phenomena will be reported today, in limited areas, and in the rest of the country. In the coming days, the weather will be unstable especially in the western half of the territory,” according to Meteoplus.

The sky will be variable, with temporarily increased cloudiness in Moldova, Muntenia, eastern Transylvania, locally in Maramureş and in limited areas in the other regions.
