“Good real estate sharks are friends of their lordships, it would be abuse of office”

Gabriela Firea, the current candidate for the Capital City Hall, reacted to Nicușor Dan’s accusations regarding the Puz scandal. Gabi Firea spoke about the corruption machine that the current mayor would support.

Gabriela Firea, the current PSD candidate for the Capital City Hall, stated that Nicușor Dan’s accusations are only political words and there is no basis for the statements he makes. Gabriela Firea stated that Nicușor Dan would have signed certain Puzs abusively, and the complaints regarding these irregularities are being investigated by the authorities.

“A mayor must not replace state institutions. If it were true what the current General Mayor says, surely the state institutions that do their duty would have revealed these illegalities. It’s just talk in the wind, it’s just political talk. In reality, if it really was, even a single construction permit would have been approved during my mandate, illegal, certainly, according to how many complaints the current mayor has made to me, many, many dozens. Surely those files would have revealed acts of corruption, as his lordship says. I also want to say one thing if the party that still supports him had found that the town planning regulations, the law which is ultimately the basis of the development of any city, is not right, they would certainly have come to Parliament with amendments to regulate Gabriela Firea declared.

Gabriela Firea, about Nicușor Dan’s Puzs: “Apartments for young people have gone up in price by 30%”

Gabriela Firea added that, due to the blocking of the signing of some Puzs by the Administration of Nicușor Dan, the price of apartments for young people increased by 30%.

“What we found is that there are two types of sharks: good real estate sharks, bad real estate sharks. The good ones are the friends of their lordships, for whom they also granted during this period.
