Preparations for the party of the Sri Lankans, in Alba Iulia, on the banks of the Ampoi. Albaiulians, invited to know their traditions and customs

On Friday afternoon, the preparations for the party of the Sri Lankan community from Alba, but also from other cities in Romania, are in full swing, on the banks of the Ampoi river, the area where they will celebrate the new year for the third consecutive year.

Hundreds of Sri Lankans from Alba and beyond will spend Saturday, April 27, on the bank of the Ampoiului river, to celebrate the new year.

“We are here alone, our families are in Sri Lanka. We will come here, we will dance, games, we will have traditional food, we will have fun. We are waiting for Sri Lankans from all over Alba, Sibiu, Cluj, Arad”, the organizers of the party told ziarulunirea.ro.

They say that traditional Sri Lankan dishes will be served, which will be prepared either on site or at home and brought to the banks of the Ampoi. The atmosphere will be maintained by two Sri Lankan DJs, who are in Romania for work.

The organizers invite the residents of Alba Iulia to join them, to get to know their traditions and customs, but also to taste the traditional dishes.
