A 49-year-old man reported missing by his family after he left his in-laws’ house in Bihor on Monday evening and did not return was found, lifeless, in a wooded area located between Bunteşti commune and Beiuş municipality .
According to sources BIHOREANseveral injuries were found on the body of Gabriel Nicolae Jurj, and Bihor Police crews, including forensics, arrived at the scene to establish the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred.
In the case, a criminal case was opened for suspicious death. From the first investigations, the possibility that the man took his own life was not ruled out either.
Gabriel Nicolae Jurj lived in Bucharest, where he managed a company specializing in IT services and was at his in-laws’ home during the Easter holidays in Poienii de Jos, Bunteşti commune. He left their home on Monday evening, around 7 p.m., under the pretext that he was going to visit a friend. He neither reached his friend nor returned home.
The family reported his disappearance a few hours later, on Tuesday, at 00:10, at Section no. 2 of Beiuş Rural Police.
UPDATE. Wanted by police, gendarmes and volunteers
According to a statement sent on Wednesday by the Bihor Police Press Office, after the man’s disappearance was reported, he was continuously searched for by police, gendarmes, firefighters and volunteers. He was found, on Wednesday, around 1 p.m., dead, in a ravine in a wooded area, difficult to access, in the vicinity of the municipality of Beiuș.
“The exact cause of death is to be established following the necropsy”, the information states. The investigations are carried out by the policemen of the Bihor Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Court.
