The Bihor County Council approved in today’s ordinary meeting, April 26, the co-financing of the projects to introduce gas networks in Chișlaz and Drăgești communes. The support consists in the allocation of 1 million lei for each commune.

We want to develop this project that will contribute to increasing the standard of living of Bihoren and to the economic development of our county. Municipalities and cities that have gas networks are becoming more attractive to investors. Given that wood is increasingly difficult to procure and it is unnatural to cut down forests, I am convinced that the best solution at hand is the natural gas grid“, he mentioned Mircea Mălan, vice-president of the Bihor County Council.

According to the documentation of the Chișlaz commune town hall, the estimated total value of the investment is 63 million lei, including VAT. In Drăgești, the total estimated value for the introduction of natural gas networks amounts to over 38 million lei, including VAT.

We remind you that from 2021 the Bihor County Council runs a multi-year program through which it supports cities and municipalities interested in the introduction or expansion of natural gas networks. The institution allocates one million euros every year through this program, which allows the support of 5 or 6 town halls.
