Soos Zoltan registered his candidacy for the first time Soos Zoltan, the mayor of Târgu Mures, officially registered his candidacy for a new mandate, submitting the 4000 signatures of support. His intention to run was previously announced. After the registration, in his statement he reconfirmed his desire to continue the works started in the next four years, reports Agerpres.

Regarding his goals, he emphasized that Târgu Muresul must become a better place for all of us, regardless of ethnicity, age and occupation. At the same time, he emphasized that 20 years of stagnation cannot be overcome overnight.

“The road will be long and arduous and can only be covered with hard work. We are only now implementing projects that serve the city, but which my predecessor promised us in 2004, without doing them. Think about the bypass option, the underground parking, the bicycle paths or solving the problem of waste collection” – said Soos Zoltan.

The mayor, who has been in office for three and a half years, also mentioned the projects he initiated. In addition to the objectives already achieved, thanks to the investments started throughout the city, there are ongoing works. The hardest part of the work is just beginning, there is a lot to do, there are many constructions in progress, and many inconveniences with these developments. “But when we finish what we started we will have a more modern, more comfortable, safer city.” – emphasized the mayor.

Soos Zoltan believes that on June 9, the residents of Târgu Mureş must decide whether the city will continue on the path of development or will give way to regression. “My two big rivals agree on this: neither wants development, neither wants to move forward. One says to return to the period of stagnation, the other wants to cure something that is not sick, but is developing.”
