Victory in Europe Day, Europe Day and Romania’s National Independence Day will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, in Citadel Square in Alba Iulia.

The program of activities will include, among others, speeches on the meaning of the days and an artistic program by the “Theotokos” Children’s Choir and the “Augustin Bena” Chamber Orchestra.

The program of activities organized on the occasion of Victory in Europe Day, Europe Day and Romania’s National Independence Day:

Friday, May 10, 12:00 p.m

  • 11.40 – 11.55 Reception of guests;
  • 11.55 – 12.00 Occupying the place in the device;
  • 12.00 – 12.05 Singing of the National Anthem of Romania;
  • 12.05 – 12.15 Officiating the religious service – tedeum service;
  • 12.15 – 12.25 Address on the significance of Victory Day in Europe and Romania’s National Independence Day;
  • 12.25 – 12.30 Singing of the European Anthem by the “Theotokos” Children’s Choir and the “Augustin Bena” Chamber Orchestra;
  • 12.30 – 12.35 Speeches on the meaning of Europe Day;
  • 12.35 – 12.55 Artistic program performed by the “Theotokos” Children’s Choir and the “Augustin Bena” Chamber Orchestra.

The event will be attended by representatives of the Prefect’s Institution – Alba County, members of the Romanian Senate from Alba County, members of the Chamber of Deputies from Alba County, members of the European Parliament from Alba County, representatives of the Alba County Council, Alba Iulia City Hall, Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese , military units (M.Ap.N., MAI) from the Alba Iulia Garrison, the Alba County Directorate of Information, the Alba County Directorate of Special Telecommunications, the Alba Iulia Military Circle, the University “1 December 1918” Alba Iulia.
