The President of the Ilfov County Council, Hubert Thuma, announces that Snagov is entering a straight line with the construction of the “Mihail Kogalniceanu” high school.
The old high school building was demolished, and students of grades VIII-XII currently study in two schools in the commune. The high school building is to be rebuilt, and a campus will be built there, practically. The works will start in the next period and will last two years, says Thuma.
“The boarding school and gymnasium will also be strengthened and modernized. The boarding school, for example, will increase from 25 to 50 rooms, each with its own bathroom. The gym and medical offices will be modernized, a dining room, a reading room, two sports fields and an amphitheater will be set up. In the end, the campus and the high school will have a video surveillance system.
The rehabilitation and expansion of the Snagov campus is being done with 45.8 million lei, money from the National Investment Company. I congratulate the mayor Anghel Mihai! Any investment in education has a positive impact on our children and therefore on us,” Thuma posted on Facebook.
