The height of cynicism is to steal the money of the people of Timisoara and then promise them gifts from the stolen money, says USR Timiş, through a press release. Those from USR refer to the government meeting in Timisoara where a decision is made regarding the construction of the city’s new stadium.
USR representatives say that the meeting of the Timişoara Executive is a purely electoral one, and the promised “gifts” come from the money stolen from the people of Timişoara.
“That’s what the Ciolacu government did. He stuck his hand up to his elbow in Timișoara’s money and they withheld 150 million lei from your taxes for the 2024 budget in Bucharest, and now he is holding an election meeting in Timișoara where he promises one and another of this money. Timișoara will not allow itself to be bought with the money taken from the people of Timișoara. Who still believes the Ciolacu government, which did not keep any promises, on the contrary, it broke them all?”, those from USR Timiş sent.
Because of this government, every Timișoara resident has less money in his pocket today than in 2020, the USR-ists claim.
“They promised not to increase taxes and fees and they increased them. They promised to keep inflation under control and increased inflation to increase budget revenues for pensions and special pensions. Where did Marcel Ciolacu hold election meetings before the elections? Nowhere. I have already said that the huge stake on June 9 is that the PSD, which for Romanians means confiscation of the Revolution, corruption, political violence, taxes and high prices, will seize Timișoara and Timiș as well. And we must not let them. Timișoara can once again make a difference on June 9 and prove to the country that it is a city with free people, which does not allow itself to be bought even by the former PCR”, it is shown at the end of the USR press release.
