On April 24, police officers of the Bacău Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances Service identified on a plot of land privately owned by a 45-year-old man, from Măgireşti commune, the amount of 27,000 kg of chemical fertilizers, stored without complying with the legal conditions regarding environmental protection . Also identified was the amount of 6 liters of insecticide, with expired validity and 250 liters of used oil (hazardous waste) against which the measure of disposal by an authorized economic operator was not taken.

The police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crimes of not supervising and not securing waste and hazardous substance warehouses, as well as not complying with the obligation to store chemical fertilizers and plant protection products only packaged and in protected places and not taking measures to completely eliminate the substances and dangerous preparations that have become waste.
