PSD Dolj launched its candidacy for the local elections in June, at the County Council. Cosmin Vasile – proposed for a new term as president

Today, PSD Dolj submitted, to the County Electoral Office, the list of candidates for the June 9 local elections for the County Council. The current holder of the portfolio was nominated for the position of president. The ceremony was attended by the president of PSD Dolj, Claudiu Manda, the mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, the entire leadership of the party, MPs from Dolj. As far as the lists of candidates for county councilors are concerned, there was a change in the current composition, two thirds of the proposals being new. As for the future executive leadership of CJ Dolj, continuity is the order of the day.

PSD Dolj launched its candidacies for the head of CJ Dolj and for local councilors. There is nothing new at the head of the county, the current president, Cosmin Vasile, going to run for a new mandate. “We have submitted a list with over 40,000 signatures, for the submission of candidacies. As far as the county councilors are concerned, the list is refreshed by 30%. We also have, in the same percentage, women. We refresh ourselves. It was a very good four years, and Cosmin Vasile collaborated very well with all the county mayors, regardless of their political color, and the results were visible. We expect over 50% of the votes, with a minimum of 20 councilors. We will keep the same formula, with Anthony Solomon and Mihai Neatu vice-presidents of CJ Dolj”, he specified Claudio Manda. In turn, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, the mayor of Craiova, mentioned: “Thanks to Cosmin Vasile and the team from CJ Dolj for what they have achieved! With their support, Craiova developed a lot. I am convinced that we will continue in the same team in the next four years”. Current vice-president of CJ Dolj and, it seems, also future, Antonie Solomon said that at PSD he found an extraordinary team.

The development of the county will continue

The President of the Dolj Regional Council, Cosmin Vasile, spoke, after submitting his candidacy, about achievements and the future. “First of all, I want to thank the more than 40,000 people who signed for my candidacy, the team I worked with. We did not leave any project unaddressed, last year alone absorbing over 200 million euros through projects with European funding. As before, we will invest in infrastructure, education, culture and sports. Other projects are already underway. Now, around the Easter Holidays, I wish all Doljenians happy holidays!”.
