Parents’ cafe for child safety

--

Any approach aimed at increasing children’s safety requires good collaboration with all the factors involved in the growth and training processes.

At the level of Mureș County, the Intersectoral Local Team for the Prevention and Combating of Violence and Child Exploitation in Mureș (EIL Mureș) implements the “Parents’ Cafe for Children’s Safety” campaign, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection in Mureș.

The project brings together representatives of EIL Mureș member institutions and aims to create an informational support framework for parents concerned about the safety of their children.

In a society in continuous development, with temptations at every turn, it is important that the wide range of safety measures also address the problems faced by parents or those who care for children or teenagers, as well as teachers.

It also remains essential that the unanswered questions turn into effective and common solutions that reach the stage of best practices in a safe future for those we choose to protect.

Last week, the fourth workshop of the campaign took place, at Târnăveni Technological High School, where, together with parents, EIL Mureș members addressed the pitfalls of the online environment, domestic violence, the consequences of drug use, human trafficking and situations of community risk.

“Parents’ cafe for children’s safety” is implemented by EIL Mureș with the support of member institutions: Mureș County Police Inspectorate, Anti-Drug Prevention, Evaluation and Counseling Center, National Agency Against Human Trafficking – Târgu Mureș Regional Center, East European Health Institute of Reproduction and the “King Ferdinand I” Mobile Gendarmerie Group Târgu Mureș.

Also, this would not be possible without the support of the Mureș County School Inspectorate, the school counselors and the parents’ councils involved.
