A man from Târgu Jiu assaulted his wife, traces of violence were visible on the woman’s body, and a neighbor called 112. On the other hand, in Scoarța, the aggressor himself called 112.
“On the evening of April 23, 2024, police officers from the Târgu Jiu Municipality Police were alerted by calling 112, by a man, regarding the fact that a woman came out of a building located on Aleea Plopilor in the locality and showed traces of blows in the head area.
Following the notification, police officers from the Public Order Office went to the scene, where they identified a 37-year-old woman from Târgu Jiu, who, while she was at home with her husband, in following a spontaneous conflict, the man physically assaulted her, punching and kicking her on the head and body. The woman did not ask for the help of an ambulance crew on the spot,” IPJ Gorj reported.
Following the risk assessment, against the 36-year-old man, the police issued a provisional protection order and drew up a criminal investigation file, in terms of committing the crime of domestic violence.
Another case of violence took place in Scoarța.
“On the night of April 23 to 24, 2024, police officers from Section 6 of the Târgu Cărbunești Rural Police were alerted by calling 112, by a man from Scoarța commune, Lazuri village, regarding the fact that he has a conflict with his wife.
From the checks carried out by the police on the spot, it emerged that following a spontaneous conflict, due to the consumption of alcohol, the 70-year-old man punched his 66-year-old wife in the area face, and destroyed his mobile phone”, IPJ Gorj reported.
Following the risk assessment, against the man in question, the police issued a provisional protection order and a criminal case was drawn up.
